Gift of Peace

As you know, the holidays can be a particularly challenging time for families who struggle with domestic violence and human trafficking. The holidays give us all an opportunity to spread joy and hope to survivors and families on the Peninsula.

Each year, Transitions Family Violence Services hosts a holiday program Gift of Peace, formally known as Adopt-a-Family. This year, we are excited to announce our Gift of Peace Holiday Program will again be in partnership with Starbucks Company. We are encouraging our sponsors and donors to visit select Starbuck locations (see below) in Hampton Roads to select a butterfly ornament, which includes a holiday wish list from an adult, child, or the organization. The items should be returned, unwrapped, to the same Starbuck location, no later than December 12, 2022.

For more information about the Gift of Peace Program or holiday volunteer opportunities, please contact Jasmine Nelson at 757-722-2261 or send an email to jnelson@transitionsfvs.org.
