Domestic violence hotlines throughout the Commonwealth will
receive an estimated 21,000 calls from victims this
year, and another 21,000 calls from concerned friends,
family members, professionals and victims of related
crimes.
Transitions Family Violence Services responds to
approximately 2,500 calls per year on our 24-hour,
volunteer-staffed Hotline. Since 1980, Transitions
Family Violence Services has sheltered more than 16,000
victims of abuse for more than 160,000 nights of
shelter.

Transitions Family Violence Services helps people affected by
domestic violence build stable, self-sufficient lives by
providing shelter, supportive and community outreach
services.

counseling and legal advocacy, we help women become
more aware of their options.

assist families with finding employment and housing
to give them a fresh start.
- Our
children’s programs help to ensure success in
school and break the cycle of violence for future
generations.
- We
provide special programs for older battered women
and military families to meet the special needs of
these groups.
