  • Avalon: A Center for Women and Children
    Avalon is committed to intervening in and reducing the incidence of domestic violence and sexual assault. In order to achieve this mission, Avalon offers shelter, advocacy, education and support to survivors and fosters awareness and prevention by educating the community.

  • Choose Respect
    According to the CDC, one out of four 8th and 9th graders reports being a victim of dating violence. Even more startling, many adolescents do not grasp the seriousness of dating abuse. This web site offers many resources for adolescents, parents, and schoolteachers to teach respect and healthy relationships.

    The Community Giving Resource (CGR) guides family foundations and individual donors through the complexities of philanthropic giving in struggling neighborhoods and communities.

  • Eastern Shore Coalition Against Domestic Violence 
    ESCADV is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation. It was established in May, 1983 to help address the problem of domestic violence on the Shore. The ESCADV is a two-county coalition of community organizations, groups and individuals who are deeply concerned about the serious problem of family violence. Shelter for abused families is available. 

  • Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF)
    FVPF is a national non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination (prevention) of domestic violence. The goal of the FVPF is to create a society where domestic violence is not acceptable, tolerated nor excused. To achieve this goal, the FVPF is committed to mobilizing concerned individuals, allied professionals, women's rights, civil rights, and other social justice organizations, and children's groups to join the campaign to end domestic violence against all women and children through public education/prevention campaigns, public policy reform, model training, advocacy programs, and organizing.
