Children
are emotionally traumatized by witnessing family
violence. Many of them grow up to repeat the pattern as
the abuser or the victim. It is important to get help
for children in abusive homes to break the cycle of
violence. Two-thirds of our clients at Transitions
Family Violence Services are children.
Our children’s services include:
- Assessment, safety planning and intervention
services;
- Art and play therapy;
- Adjunct drop-in childcare; off-site subsidized
childcare;
- After school tutoring program;
- Parenting education.
